Through the global aim of the group, each Brand can portray their cultural values.

4 april 1996
Jean Duforest cofounder of Groupe Camaïeu, takes over the "Children" business with Jean-Luc Souflet, his associate, with 30 stores, 100 employees, and a common goal : “Working to make a better world for growing children”.

 


September 2000

The Okaïdi brand is officially launched with100 stores and 440 employees. Its target : a brand for children ages 0 to 14 that is modern, universal, and accessible to all and respects the ideas and identity of every child in the world.

 

July 2001
The Brand launches internationally. Okaïdi opened 160 stores throughout France.


September 2001
Launch of the evaluation of progress in welcoming our customers.


June 2002
Okaïdi launches the Obaïbi brand with a new specific concept for the wellbeing of children ages 0 to 5.

April 2003
Creation of the association OKworld, whose mission is to finance actions for respect and protection of children throughout the world.


January 2004
Okaïdi creates its new "Okaïdi, good ïd!" signature.


February 2004
Okaïdi develops brand notoriety and sets up in the Printemps stores.


September 2004
Obaïbi adopts its new sa nouvelle signature : "Obaïbi, love ïd" signature. The nicest idea of love.


January 2005
Creation of the association Rigolo Comme La Vie, a multi-reception centre for small children (nursery) that meets the needs of families by creating a link between the neighbourhoods and the company.


March 2005
The company changes its singlebrand organisation to multi-brand and becomes Idgroup.

 

April 2005
Integration of Jacadi within Idgroup. Authentic and contemporary brand in the French tradition that recalls the best of our childhood.

Integration of Véronique Delachaux brand within Idgroup.

 

January 2006
Idgroup’s progress commitments are Idway-certified.

 

February 2006
Creation of Okaïdi Sport, Okaïdi’s "sport spirit" line.

Opening of the Okaïdi and Obaïbi merchant site.

Integration of Oxybul within Idgroup. Specialist in educational toys and the development of the child through play with respect for the environment.

Creation of the corporate foundation OKworld.

Opening of the Jacadi merchant site.
